C&EN “First Timers” Live Tweet-Up

Meet the journalists behind the tweets! Join C&EN’s Live Tweet-Up to meet some of the C&EN journalists you may know and interact with on Twitter. This Tweet-Up is geared towards “first timers” who are new to ACS meetings, but all are welcome to attend. Drinks and light food will be provided. RSVP online to secure your spot today!

C&EN Booth Activities

Visit us at the C&EN Booth to test your chemistry knowledge, celebrate 100 years of C&EN and win prizes! On Monday, visit the booth to get your photo taken for our special Centennial mosaic wall and receive a limited-edition Talented 12 chem-powered pin! Then, join us again on Tuesday and Wednesday to take our C&EN cover matching quiz and win exclusive prizes. Editorial staff members will also be at the booth throughout EXPO hours. Meet the faces behind the world’s most comprehensive and authoritative source of chemistry news!

Don’t forget to pick up your printed copy of C&EN’s Centennial issue which will be released the week of ACS Fall 2023. Copies will be available at the C&EN Booth and in the distribution bins around the convention center. 

Talented 12 Symposium

Meet the C&EN Talented 12 Class of 2023! This extraordinary group of early-career science stars will present 12-minute TED-style talks on their research spanning topics from finding plastic pollution solutions to creating treatments for cystic fibrosis and exploring ways to improve energy storage. Paul Anastas, director of the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering at Yale University, will open the symposium with a keynote address. Coffee and light breakfast will be available before the symposium. The first 100 attendees in the door will get special Talented 12 chem-powered t-shirts.
