As our publisher wrote a few weeks ago, the C&EN editorial and marketing staff prepped for a very busy and productive schedule at the ACS National Meeting in Boston. There were a lot of initiatives we wanted to highlight for members, attendees, and advertisers. C&EN’s Talented Twelve was the main theme, if you will, and we were fortunate to have almost all of the members onsite to discuss their research and breakthroughs in chemistry. Their engaging presentations weren’t the only interactive feature: a SnapApp quiz onsite provided a quick and easy way for contestants to enter a raffle, but also gave us an outlet to engage with readers and talk about the new annual feature.
Another fun engagement tool was the release of the ACS Chemoji app. A collaboration between a number of departments here at ACS, the goal of this campaign was really to provide something fun and unique for readers, researchers, and the chemistry community.
As with every National Meeting, there was lots to see and do, so if we didn’t get a chance to meet you, we hope to do so at the next show in San Diego! In the meantime, browse through a quick photo album of the fun activities that took place at the C&EN Magazine booth.
