We Were Honored Just to Be Nominated, and then…
The C&EN team just returned from a trip to New York, where FOLIO held their 2014 Eddie and Ozzie Awards, honoring the best design and editorial work in the magazine and publishing industry. The largest award program of its kind with over 2,000 entries, we were honored just to be nominated in our categories, and among the distinguished publications of Condé Nast, Time, National Geographic, and many more.
Then, the team came away with wins in every nominated category! For the Eddies Digital awards, we took home the Association/Non-Profit prizes in:
- Online Community: C&EN Chemistry in Pictures Tumblr Blog
- Video: Scientific Cocktail Toppers Move from the 3D Printer to the Bar
- Website: C&EN Marketing Elements Blog (that you are currently reading!)
and finally, an Ozzie for Association/Non-Profit:
- B2B Media Kit for the C&EN Magazine and ACS Journals

Thank you to the FOLIO team for putting on a great ceremony. For us, these wins represent not only the dynamic and forward-thinking publication of C&EN, but an incredibly strong team effort among many here at the American Chemical Society.
Another thank you to our readers, the Chemistry in Pictures photo contributors, writers, designers, and staff who work so hard on all these projects. We will be sure to see you next year!
